Charity - Pertapis Centre for Women & Girls
On 24 Feb 2010, we donated 21 pieces of jewellery and a number of clothings and other accessories to the Pertapis Centre for Women and Girls. It was part of a Community Service Project by a group of SMU students. We were honoured to have been approached by them and more than glad that we could do our part in contributing.
Here are some pictures :) There are white boxes over the girls’ faces for privacy reasons.

21 pieces of jewellery, all lovingly packed in pretty pink tissue wrapping paper. Didn’t get pictures taken of the clothings and accessories that we gave away but they were wrapped in the same way!

Personalised notes for the girls :) The ribbons took me quite long to tie because if you pull too hard, the whole paper’d tear. Unfortunately, the SMU studnets couldn’t use the personalised notes because there was a last minute change of plans and the girls who were receiving the gifts weren’t the same as the ones on the namelist we received. Boo :(

Here’s a thank you card and a box of yummy chocolates from the SMU students :) If any of you are reading this, thank you once again!
And here are the happy recipients at Pertapis Centre!

Can’t see their faces but I’m sure they were smiling :)
